The fact that they seemingly haven't realized this yet almost a decade later is a harbinger of ill fate. The biggest issue with the trilogy is not that ME1 looks and feels a bit dated now, it's that all of this leads up to 'Priority: Earth' and not addressing the fundamental issues with it in any significant way completely undoes and undercuts all of the great work you did on the remaster just as it did to the original franchise back in 2012. Speaking as somebody who ADORES the first game, I can't help but think giving ME1 a paint job at this point as the main project priority is seriously wrong-headed and a waste of time and effort. I'm calling it now because you can see it coming from space.
